Restoring Wonder in the Middle of Responsibility | Your Nightly Prayer
Has life become so full that you’ve stopped noticing the goodness of God around you?
Responsibilities can easily consume our attention. Parenting, work, caregiving, errands, ministry, and everyday demands can leave us rushing from one task to the next until gratitude quietly disappears.
Tonight’s Your Nightly Prayer is an invitation to slow down and rediscover childlike wonder.
Tonight’s Scripture
“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 18:3 (NIV)
Children often notice what adults rush past.
The butterfly.
The bubbles.
The strange-shaped leaf.
The sunlight coming through the window.
The gift of wonder is not childishness—it is a heart awake to the goodness, creativity, mercy, and presence of God.
Tonight, before asking God for anything, pause and thank Him.
Name three gifts.
Two can be significant.
Let one be beautifully ordinary.
Then ask God to help you carry that posture of gratitude into tomorrow.
