Maybe you said the wrong thing.

Missed an opportunity.

Handled something poorly.

Failed someone you love.

Or look back at a moment when you wish you had represented Jesus differently.

Regret has a way of becoming especially loud when everything else gets quiet.

But tonight's Your Nightly Prayer offers a reminder we all need:

Your failure is never stronger than God's faithfulness.

Tonight's Scripture

“If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” — 2 Timothy 2:13

God's faithfulness doesn't excuse our sin or mean our choices don't matter. When we're wrong, we confess. We repent. We seek forgiveness. We learn.

But we don't have to believe that our failures have somehow made God less faithful.

God's character does not change because we messed up.

And our mistakes don't have to become the end of our stories.

Sometimes mercy looks like forgiveness.

Sometimes it looks like growth.

Sometimes it looks like God giving us another opportunity to respond differently the next time.

So before you fall asleep tonight, stop replaying your mistake long enough to remember the character of the One you're bringing it to.

Confess what needs confessing.

Receive His mercy.

Ask Him to teach you.

And trust Him with what you cannot undo.
