Morning Prayer for Veterans and Servicemen // Finding Strength in God's Word

Lord, be a shield around our veterans and active-duty servicemen and women. Shelter them under your wings, guarding them in all their ways. (Psalm 91:4)

Equip them with your armor, Lord, as they face challenges both seen and unseen. Strengthen them with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is your Word. (Ephesians 6:11)

May your angels encamp around them, providing a hedge of protection. Let their trust in you be a beacon of light in moments of darkness. (Psalm 34:7)

Renew their strength like the eagles, Lord. Let them soar on wings of courage, perseverance, and hope. May their service be a testament to your grace. (Isaiah 40:31)

We entrust the safety of our servicemen and women into your hands, acknowledging that victory belongs to you. Grant them success and guide them in their missions. (Proverbs 21:31)

Blessed be the Lord, our Rock, who trains their hands for war and their fingers for battle. May they find strength and confidence in you, their firm foundation. (Psalm 144:1)

We also pray for their families, Lord. Comfort those who await their loved ones' return and grant them peace in the midst of uncertainty. Surround them with your love and assurance.

In Jesus' name, we pray.
