A Prayer When You Need Motivation | Your Daily Prayer

Do even small tasks feel unusually difficult right now?

Maybe you're exhausted.

Stressed.

Overwhelmed.

Discouraged.

Or perhaps you know exactly what needs to be done, but finding the energy to begin feels like climbing a mountain.

Low motivation can have many causes, and struggling to get started doesn't automatically mean you're lazy or failing.

Sometimes the most helpful thing you can do is stop looking at the entire mountain and take one small step.

Today's Scripture reminds us:

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19

When your strength feels limited, bring that honestly to God.

Ask Him for what you need today—not necessarily enough strength to accomplish everything at once, but enough grace for the next faithful step.

Open the laptop.

Brush your teeth.

Make the meal.

Send the email.

Take the walk.

Read one paragraph.

Pray one sentence.

Start small.

And if persistent low motivation is affecting your ability to care for yourself or function day to day, reaching out to a doctor, therapist, pastor, trusted friend, or another source of support can be a wise and courageous next step too.
