A Prayer When You Are Desperate | Your Daily Prayer

Have you ever become so desperate for God to move that you don’t know what else to pray?

Maybe you have carried the pain for months.

Maybe it has been years.

Maybe everyone around you thinks you’re doing fine while something inside you is still hurting.

In Mark 5, we meet a woman who had suffered for twelve years. She had endured physical pain, isolation, disappointment, and seemingly endless waiting. Yet when she heard about Jesus, she pushed through the crowd believing that if she could only reach Him, everything could change.

Then Jesus spoke words she desperately needed:

“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” — Mark 5:34

What a beautiful word: Daughter.

Jesus did not see an anonymous problem in the crowd. He saw her.

And He sees you.

Today’s prayer is for the person who has reached the end of their own strength—the person who needs to know that Jesus has not forgotten them.

We can bring our desperate prayers to Christ while trusting Him with how and when He answers. Sometimes His healing comes differently than we hoped, and faithful prayer does not guarantee that every illness, wound, or circumstance will immediately disappear. But we can keep reaching for Jesus, knowing He meets us with compassion, presence, grace, and hope.
