A Christian upbringing is a beautiful gift. Parents, grandparents, teachers, pastors, and mentors can provide a strong foundation of Scripture, prayer, and faithful example.
But eventually, faith must become personal.
Paul reminded Timothy of the sincere faith that first lived in his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice—and then affirmed that this same faith now lived in Timothy himself.
“I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.” — 2 Timothy 1:5
Today’s prayer is for parents, grandparents, mentors, and anyone discipling the next generation. We’re asking God to help young people move beyond borrowed beliefs and develop a genuine, growing relationship with Jesus rooted in Scripture, prayer, Christian community, and personal surrender.
