A Prayer for the Weary Caregiver | Your Nightly Prayer

Are you exhausted from caring for someone you love?

Caregiving can be meaningful and deeply loving—but it can also be physically tiring, emotionally draining, and painfully isolating. Whether you are caring for a child, aging parent, spouse, family member, or friend, God sees every sacrifice that happens beyond the notice of others.

Tonight’s Your Nightly Prayer is for the caregiver who feels weary, overwhelmed, or forgotten.

Tonight’s Scripture

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Jesus does not ask you to deny your exhaustion. He invites you to bring it to Him. Your need for rest, support, and compassion does not make you selfish or unfaithful. You are a person with limits, worthy of receiving care as well as giving it.

As you prepare for sleep, release the pressure to meet every need perfectly. Ask God for renewed strength, practical help, wise boundaries, and the courage to receive support.

🙏 How can we pray for you or the person in your care? Share your request below, or simply write, “Lord, renew my strength.”
