Is there a sin you have been afraid to confess?

Shame tells us to hide, avoid the truth, and believe that our failures have placed us beyond God’s mercy. But God already knows every part of our story, and He still invites us to come near.

Confession is not about convincing God to love us again.

It is about honestly agreeing with Him about our sin, turning away from it, and receiving the forgiveness Jesus has already secured for us.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9

Today’s prayer asks God to give us the courage to stop hiding, accept responsibility, seek forgiveness, and walk forward in repentance and freedom.
