What Does “Deliverance” TRULY Look like for a Christian?

Can homosexuals truly be delivered from same-sex attraction? Let me put it another way. When God "delivers" a Christian from a sin, does that mean that the temptation towards that sin just goes away? Well, because I've never struggled with same-sex attraction, I wanted you to hear from the perspectives of a couple of people who have.
