Today I've got a grocery shocker for you. And I didn't like learning it and I got a feeling you're not going to like learning it. But the more knowledgeable we are, the more wisdom that we have, the better we can care for our family.

We can have cinnamon in our foods and our brain says oh this is sweet. This is delicious. Without adding sugar. This is what cinnamon does; it just helps to send that trigger signal saying this tastes really good. Between that and the aroma of cinnamon the extracts from cinnamon.

We just get a good satisfying feeling from eating cinnamon foods with cinnamon in it yet there's a good cinnamon, this one and there's a bad cinnamon that we've been buying. So don't buy those great big canisters of cinnamon, that's junk that is doing a thing for your body and it has a lot of fillers. This is the one you want to buy and it's called Ceylon cinnamon. And it's not easy to find.

Health Benefits of Cinnamon:

1. Cinnamon is loaded with vitamins, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, it's full of beta carotene, we think of beta carotene coming from our orange and red vegetables.

2. Good quality cinnamon, especially the Ceylon cinnamon, is going to reduce inflammation. This means you're going to have less issues with having heart disease, arthritis, it's going to go in and help reduce that inflammation that even the inflammation you already have built up.

3. Next, it reduces the bad cholesterol, the LDL cholesterol. So adding just maybe a half teaspoon of this a day either in your oatmeal or in your smoothies or in your chili like I mentioned, you know we can get that benefit.

4. Cinnamon is loaded with vitamins A, k, potassium, and zinc.

There is good and bad cinnamon at the store. But the best one to buy is Ceylon cinnamon because of its medicinal benefits. You are going to pay a little bit more. But real food does cost more and processed food is cheap. Yet it cost us the most in the long run with disease and just feeling bad. So we save money by spending more on our food. We get satiety sooner, therefore we eat less, we feel greater.
