So today we're going to the grocery store to discover the top 12 foods. for our vision. Now, this is so important for us to understand, because if you are a young mom, your children need to know this because we need to protect their vision.

1. Spinach

One of the nutrients we get from spinach is going to be vitamin E, vitamin E is very necessary to protect the tissues. It's a free radical scavenger. It goes after free radicals. So getting spinach in your children's diet and in the adult diet is very important.

2. Bell Peppers
Now sweet bell peppers when you look at all the different colors, the yellows, the oranges, the reds, the greens, and if you grow on yourself, you can come up with even more colors. With all of the heirloom varieties. Yet this is going to give us vitamin A vitamin A is so important for our eyes

3. Kale
We get vitamin C. E, and zeaxanthin from these vegetables.

4. Broccoli
Broccoli is going to give us zeaxanthin, and as you eat them, they're going to protect the retina of your eye. And we need to think about that because it's also going to protect us from any damage from the light.

5. Citrus
Citrus is rich in quercetin to protect our vision.

6. Melons
Now when it comes to melons, these are rich in glutathione that is the master antioxidant for better immunity and vision.

7. Carrots
These vegetables are loaded with nutrients including vitamin A, zinc, and lutein.

8. Berries
So we've got the raspberries, we've got the blueberries, we got the blackberries, we've got the strawberries. And if you have cherries in your grocery store, you might want to check them out as well. Berries are so important for the kids and for the adults. So it helps the kids to protect their vision and helps the adults to protect against night driving issues.

9. Kiwi
And don't forget kiwi, even the green is not a yellow or red but it still has nutrients that we need for our vision.
10. Dark Chocolate
And yes, chocolate does make the list as well. If you can get a chocolate preferably 80% or higher a dark chocolate then you would do so well for your body. Chocolate gives us alpha lipoic acid, which is very beneficial for our eye vision.

11. Zucchini
And we can't leave the produce out without looking at the zucchini. So zucchini is going to have almost the entire grocery list of nutrients that we need for our eyes. It's going to have the lutein, the quercetin, zeaxanthin.

12. Squash
It’s also loaded with quercetin, lutein, vitamin A and so much more!

One of the foods that I want to share with you is not the most colorful, although White is a color yet. It's a bonus food and garlic has selenium, Selenium works with the vitamin E to help protect your vision. Selenium is very important. It also is very much protected against cancers.
