On the way to the Council of Chalcedon, and the split in the universal church, a few things happened. An old monk and an abbot of a monastery in Constantinople called Eutyches defended Alexandrian Christology to the extinct that he failed to distinguish between the 'human and divine natures of Christ in thought-alone' according to Cyril of Alexandria. Flavian of Constantinople, Pope Leo of Rome, Emperor Theodosius II, Dioscorus of Alexandria were involved in this schism. Check out what happened in this beautiful video!<br />
