How do I take time to cook healthy? A way for it not to cost so much at the stores for the healthy foods. How to Get my husband off of diet sodas! How can we eat healthy on a strict budget? - Cindy<br />

First let me start by sharing how to not be anxious. – it starts in Philippians 4:6: "Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say rejoice<br />
Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.<br />
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."<br />
<br />
When I am rejoicing in the Lord – the time to cook healthy will subside, the money issue will lessen, the diet sodas will take a back seat and the money issue will again lessen.<br />
<br />
I am in no way belittling these concerns – they are true concerns. Yet, we must understand God has loved you with an everlasting love.<br />
Those we love we don’t say – fend for yourself – never. We say – let me help you. Let me show you.<br />
<br />
God knows our going out and our coming in. He has a plan and a purpose.<br />
If that is true and you believe it – then every night as you sleep your body has neurogenesis happening this is new baby nerve cells being born. And they are at your disposal to be wired into good choices or bad choices. – into anxiety or calmness.<br />
<br />
The time question is not so much about time but a mindset.<br />
That is why the Paul starts with Rejoice – when we are rejoicing we have no room for complaining.<br />
<br />
Start each meal with the words – I will rejoice in the Lord. Then the time will go quickly as you enjoy making a healthy life transforming meal.<br />
Question 2 – the cost in the stores – the question is about healthy foods being more expensive. My budget did go up at first then it went back to where it was. <br />
<br />
Instead – buy local, fresh, and also consider bartering for food. I mill my grains so I need less from the grocery store.<br />
Freshly milled grains means I can put biscuits, scones, bread, pancakes, muffins, cookies on the table anytime without costing me very much from the food budget.<br />
It is a matter of focus.<br />
<br />
Question 3 – diet sodas – this is a personal issue. There is no way to make a family member get off soda. It is as harmful as alcohol to the body but it is still a choice.<br />
<br />
First – know that diet soda is addictive. When a person does decide to stop drinking it there will be symptoms of withdrawal and it will be hard. That in itself shows the chemical power that is added to that drink.<br />
<br />
Next – pray for him.<br />
<br />
Diet sodas destroy the healthy microbiome and cause symptoms of MS, can lead to cancers, and are also being noted for contributing to dementia. If those issues are not a concern of your husband than there is nothing you can say or do for him to stop.<br />
<br />
When my husband switched to eating healthy it was his decision. He did respect my opinion and still today he makes his choices of what to eat but he does much better.<br />
<br />
Now for your 4th question – back to the money. Sit back and close your eyes. Vision yourself on the lap of God the Father – he loves you. He loved you before you were born. He knows your name.<br />
He knows your circumstances.<br />
<br />
We are at the cross roads of trust and anxiousness.<br />
We either rejoice in how God is going to provide and we pray that way – Lord I thank you for your provisions. I thank you for taking the money I have after I have tithed to you and how you stretch it to cover my needs and allow me more to share with others.<br />
Lord I trust you.<br />
Lord I rejoice – and experience your complete Joy!<br />
