Our topic today is very interesting because it's about how to stop listening to Satan - about how satan confuses you. It’s all about understanding what satan does to confuse you the way the devil tempted Jesus three times in the desert.
That's where the enemy wants us is confused. Here are three ways how satan confuses us.
1. The power of suggestion
Satan loves to quote scripture. And do you remember when, when he was tempting Christ, he quoted scripture. And Jesus knew better because he knew that it was written. So one of the key ways that we fight these thoughts that come to try to confuse us is to understand as we did in a previous video www.youtube.com/watch , that God never contradicts His Word. And Satan knows the word. As I mentioned earlier, he knows the scripture probably better than we do. So he knows how to play it against us, and to try to confuse us. And that is one way that he attacks us in the area of our mind is through the power of suggestion.
2. Fear
We live in a world that has so much fear, not just in our community, but globally, people are living in fear. They don't want to necessarily whether they are Christian or not, they don't know how to get out from under that fear. Because everything around them that's coming from every direction is fear. But God never, ever puts fear on you. So when something comes in the arena of fear, we know that it is not from God. It is the enemy trying to scare us. He loves it. He loves it when you're when you're all anxious.
3. Doubt
And this comes up a lot in what we did in the previous video www.youtube.com/watch is, when we don't get answers fast enough, we begin to doubt what God has told us. We began to doubt his word. And it's such an easy place to go. I prayed for this. It didn't happen. It probably wasn't God's will. And who knows if we're ever going to see it. The doubt comes, the questions come.
God always gives you a scripture that gives you strength and understanding. Those are the things that God gives you. We don't have to worry about all the things that are in the unknown, because that's God's business. God's timing is, is, you know, perfect. Our understanding of that gives us that security that we don't have to doubt what he has told us. So that's from a different perspective a little bit, but not doubting what God already told us to because the enemy loves to put that in.
Another thing just to add to that is God does not speak in the negative like that. God speaks in the positive, it's coming to us from a negative source or a negative feeling. It's not God.
