1. I worked in the ministry for over 20 years and was able to fast however now in my fifties, I have such a hard time sticking with it. The worst is at night and the following morning. An abnormal hunger and I can't sleep. Do you have any suggestions? – Cordia<br />

We always go back to Daniel – he has set the bar for doing a partial fast. He made up his mind.<br />
He determined to do it. It could have cost him his life. Yet that was a nonnegotiable for him<br />
Then Jesus was starting his ministry, I would imagine Jesus spent those 30 years in preparation for this ministry yet he still took 40 days to set aside and commune with His Heavenly father.<br />

So first step – determine to set your mind on the fast.<br />
Second – write down all thoughts that are causing you a struggle. The fact that you are in your fifties might mean there is a blood sugar imbalance or a microbiome that is not doing well/<br />
Both physical situations will cause fasting to be a struggle.<br />
Use the hunger satisfied journal – it is free through the 7 steps course and also the 40 day transformation course.<br />

Use the journal to record why you are eating, when and how much. Then record how you feel.<br />
This is paramount to discover any underlying issues that might make fasting harder than it needs to be.<br />
So – make a decision to take 2 weeks and discover your eating pattern.<br />
Then take time to become aware of your thoughts.<br />
Thoughts inhibit success more than any imbalance.<br />

2. Good morning, Annette. I received a call from my doctor that I am now considered pre-diabetic. I have lost 10 pounds following your 40-Day Transformation and have done my best to continue to follow it. I am now considering the Daniel Fast, and I am preparing for this by following along with your class. I don't want to start taking any medication. I also know that with the meditation and daily devotion during the Daniel Fast that Jesus will help me through this and answer my prayers. Is there any advice you can give me to keep this from going into a full-blown diabetes?<br />

You are already doing it. Diabetes is a disease of processed foods.<br />
We were not created to eat lab experiments. We don’t want to be a lab experiment. Keep doing what you are doing and God’s foods will always satisfy the cells and your taste.<br />

3. In what ways have you personally gained physical health by adhering to the principles found in the bible? – Lorilee<br />

As we are in our 20’s we think life is always going to be forgiving when we do wrong. Yes, I can eat what I want and not gain weight; I can pass on exercise because I am a busy person.<br />
That is not true.<br />
When we started the Daniel fast – after 30 days we had tremendous victories.<br />
But what I wasn’t expecting was for PMS to go away – not just the Daniel fast but I also started supplementing with magnesium and b complex.<br />
I wish I had learned that earlier in life.<br />

4. I'm doing a spiritual 21 day Daniel fast but yesterday, and I seem to not seek him as much. I've been asking for something specifically for this fast and this is why I'm doing it also to draw near to God. Can you help me achieve success in this fast? – Idaly<br />
