Homeschool vs Distance Learning: They're NOT the Same Thing!!!

Many parents toss-up homeschool vs distance learning. Some people think they're the same thing. But, I'm here to tell you that they're really different things.

Distance learning is also called distance education or remote learning. Essentially they are school done at home but under the direction of teachers, not parents.

I've done another video on the difference between online learning and homeschooling. The difference between these two is the mode of learning (the technology used).

However, while it is usually carried out online (which homeschool can be too), distance learning is run by people who are not the parents. Either the government or a private teaching organization.

A homeschool also can't be accredited, but distance learning institutions are usually accredited.

Homeschools are usually a lot more flexible than schools also.
