When people ask what my favorite part of marriage is so far, I always find it hard to put into words. It's the little, everyday-life-type things, and knowing we get to do them for the rest of our lives. It's when Tyler hears me tossing and turning in the middle of the night, and reaches over to grab me and pull me in close. It's going to sleep every night with a kiss and waking up to one each morning. It's eating breakfast together before work, and cleaning up the dishes side-by-side. It's sitting on the couch together studying the Word, and Tyler reaching over to grab my hand. It's laughing with him over things no one else would find funny, and having your best friend always there to talk to about the biggest and the littlest things on your heart. It's praying together. It's dreaming about the future and knowing wherever God takes you, you're in it together. We're only three months in, and already I love Tyler so much more deeply than I did even on our wedding day. What we have isn't perfect but it sure is sweet.

A note to my singles out there, since this is a season I've spoken on for so long: know that all these things are true of Jesus as well. He offers to be with us in all these ways and more, because He is our Husband and we the Church are His bride. I'm not saying, nor will I ever say, "you just need to be so satisfied in Jesus that you don't desire a relationship," because He CREATED us to NEED human relationships in addition to our relationship with Him. If marriage is your desire, I think you should ask Him for it boldly and persistently. But in the wait, which I understand well, press into Him. Singleness truly is such a sweet opportunity to cultivate intimacy with Jesus. As sweet as marriage is, I truly believe there will never be a joy deeper or sweeter than the joy of intimately knowing and loving Jesus. I think that without it,
