1. What’s the best approach to getting my husband also on this journey with me without sounding nagging? – Rockie
This is a fun question because I took the opportunity to review the verses in Proverbs 21.
From my NASB bible they read like this:
Proverbs 21:9 - It is better to live on a corner of a roof Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.
Proverbs 21:19 It is better to live in a desert land Than with a contentious and vexing woman.
Scripture is very clear how we are not to approach our spouses. We had already battled cancer, and other health issues, then when the latest blood work came back and the doctor was quickly writing more prescriptions we knew our choices were killing us. my husband had just turned 40. So very young. Yet dealing with elderly issues. It was a wake up call.
It was what I needed for the holy nudging – to start him on a health journey to reverse the outcome. And it worked.
So my answer – is only God can change the heart. I suggest start with sharing what you are doing and then ask how he/she would like to participate.
2. How can I conform my thinking to see eating as a way to serve/glorify God? – Ann
This is covered well in the 40 Day Transformation and also in the Inner Circle. It is a process. It is also a choice!
And we have the knowledge of God to build our beliefs upon. That is why the mustard seed is so small and the mountain is so large. Our God based beliefs can move mountains.
Our beliefs can shape our day – and therefore our health.
3. I am in a wheelchair ! I am 5'1" and I weigh 270lbs. This is my year for change but I do not know where to start! I am so confused by all of the conflicting information out there. Where and how should I change my life around ? – Vicly
Start with the Hunger Satisfied Journal – if we were on a 1-1 coaching call I would ask more questions about your current diet but through this avenue let’s use the journal.
The HSJ helps us discover the mindset that is causing us to be confused and trip over success.
1st steps of the journal - focus on the hunger scale.
2nd step – learn the use of credits. We discuss this numerous times in the inner circle.
3rd – learn and follow through with the 24 hour plan.
This seems monotonous but it is transforming. It reveals the truth of why you are suffering and why you are getting results.
4. I have struggled not only with making good food choices but I feel so unworthy, devalued, etc. because my actions would suggest I lack the willpower & discipline to stay ANY course I've ever tried. I am a saved individual but have not given too much thought into a biblical eating lifestyle. What advice do you have on gaining the discipline to stay the course? - Kristi
This is the reason I am here. I have walked this road and sometimes this road comes up on the screen as an option to take again.
I have to continually stay vigilant on what is right – biblical thinking and what is a distraction from the enemy.
In the 40 day transformation we start with transforming your thoughts.
