You are not alone in your struggle to seek God. Even your favorite pastors and Christian social media influencers, podcasters, authors, and speakers struggle to seek God. If this were not so, would James have said “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you…” (James 4:8)? James said this because he knew that his Christian readers needed the exhortation to seek God. He knew that Christians are prone to wander. Every single person NEEDS to be encouraged to draw near to God. It is not something our hearts will do naturally. We need to be reminded to seek Him and draw near to Him daily. And what a BEAUTIFUL promise it is that when we do draw near to God, He will draw near to us!

So today, I want you to be encouraged, friend. I want you to know that you are not alone in your struggle to pray, read scripture, go to church, and to simply seek God. You are not alone because every human struggles in this. But take hope in this, Christ has made a way for us to have union with God again. Therefore, let us come before Jesus and say “Here I am.” Let us simply come before Him, and let Him draw us into the everlasting and unconditional love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
