Spend the Day With Me While I Make Ron's Amish Birthday Cake /Sit & Chat With You & Sit by the fire
Come spend a little time with us today. We’re making one of our favorite coffee cakes for Ron’s 65th birthday, baking it in the wood stove, and visiting while it cooks. There’s no hurry to get anywhere in this video, just some time in the kitchen, a little conversation about life, birthdays, making do with what we have, and the things that matter more to us than presents.
Ron’s birthday gift this year was simple and very much us, a new firepit area out back where he can sit, enjoy a fire, and relax close to home. And once the cake is finished, we end the day the same way we spent much of it: sitting together around the fire, talking, resting, and enjoying the evening.
