Our Off Grid Cabin Home Tour | Simple Living, Antiques & Making a House a Home

More than anything, I hope today's home tour encourages those of you who may be looking around your own homes and seeing all the things that aren't finished, the improvements you can't yet afford, or the things you wish were different.

Use what you have. Be creative. Learn to see the possibilities in what others might overlook. And most importantly, have a vision for the atmosphere you're creating for your family—a place of warmth, security, love, and above all, a place where God is honored.

Our homes are not measured by how much money we've spent on them, but by the lives being lived within their walls.

Today I'm finally taking you inside our off-grid cabin for a long-overdue home tour! Come along as I share some of the changes we've made to our kitchen, pantry, and living areas, along with a few wonderful antique and vintage treasures we've been blessed to find this summer—many of them completely FREE!

From a 1929 gas stove and an antique Monitor Top refrigerator to a beautiful old pump organ, vintage radios, a 1950s Maytag wringer washer, and cupboards built from reclaimed lumber, our home is filled with pieces that have a history and a purpose.

But this isn't a tour of a perfectly finished home. Far from it!

We still have walls to finish, cupboards to paint, projects waiting on time and money, and plenty of plans that haven't yet become reality. Like so many families, we've learned to work with what we have, repurpose what others discard, and make improvements as the Lord provides.

Living the way we do, has taught us a great deal about resourcefulness, patience, and appreciating the simple things. Our home may be a work in progress, but it's OUR home, and we're grateful for it.

I hope you'll enjoy visiting with us, seeing our vintage finds, and perhaps finding a little inspiration for your
