We live in a time when professing Christians are increasingly being told that grace gives us the freedom to look, sound, and live like the world—as long as we say we believe. But what happens when the things we defend are the very things the Word of God tells us to put away?

This isn’t about pretending to be perfect. It isn’t about looking down on someone who struggles. Every one of us has areas where the Lord is still working on us. The question is whether we are willing to be corrected—or whether we have begun making excuses for the very things God is asking us to surrender.
In this video, I want to talk about one of those things: our words. The way Christians speak, the growing acceptance of profanity, and especially the casual use of the Lord’s name in vain.
Scripture tells us to bridle our tongue. It tells us that God’s name is holy. And Jesus tells us that “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”
Maybe the real question isn’t, “Can a Christian say this?”
Maybe the better question is, “Why would someone who loves the Lord want to?”
Before we worry about cleaning up the world around us, maybe it is time for the Church to take a serious look inside its own house.
The Word of God is still the final authority—even when the truth is unpopular.
