Not My Usual Video… I Needed to Share My Heart (Plus a Ron Update)

This isn’t my usual kind of video.

I sat down today intending to just share a simple day, like we normally do, but after the week we’ve had… I couldn’t ignore what’s been on my heart. So this video is a little different. It’s more of a real, sit-down conversation—some thoughts I’ve been carrying, and an update on Ron after his recent ER visit.

First, I share what happened with Ron and the situation we walked through this past week. It was not what we expected, and I’m very thankful things turned out the way they did. Thank you to those of you who have been praying and checking in on us—it truly means more than I can say.

From there, I just speak honestly about some things I’ve been thinking deeply about lately—our homes, our families, the pressures of modern life, and the importance of stepping back and really asking what matters most. This isn’t meant to be polished or perfect… just real.

If you’ve been here for a while, you know this isn’t our typical video, and we’ll be returning to our normal rhythm—simple living, time in the kitchen, and everyday life on the homestead. But I felt this was worth sharing.

As always, I pray this encourages you in some way and points you back to peace, truth, and what truly matters.
