That opened a family discussion about holiness, repentance, conviction, faith, and what it really means to yield our lives to Christ.
We can spend a great deal of time trying to convince other people of what the Word says, but ultimately it is God who removes the veil and gives understanding. Our responsibility is to speak the truth, live what we believe, pray for others, and allow the life of Christ to be seen consistently in us.
Sometimes our greatest witness may not be a sermon or even seeing someone immediately come to Christ. It may simply be faithfully living for Him before the people God places around us.
Sanctification is not us earning salvation. It is the work of Christ being allowed to have its effect in a surrendered life, producing obedience, prayer, service, holiness, and gratitude.
The question for each of us is:
**Are we willing to let Jesus be everything?**
May we stop trying to fit Him into the parts of our lives we are willing to give Him, and instead completely yield ourselves to the One who has always been faithful and true.
