35 Years Homeschooling & Raising Children || My Advice in a World Against the Family

In today’s visit here at The Biblical Homestead, I’m sharing homeschooling and motherhood advice from over 35 years of raising children at home.

This video comes from a heartfelt question from a young mom who is homeschooling, caring for little ones, living on a farm, and trying to find a peaceful, sustainable rhythm without feeling pressured by the world around her.

If you are a homeschool mom feeling overwhelmed, unsure of what your days should look like, or wondering if you’re doing enough for your children… I understand that season more than I can put into words.

Today I encourage all moms, of any age in
– Homeschooling young children (especially with babies and toddlers)
– Finding a daily rhythm that works for your family
– Letting go of pressure from other homeschool families
– Raising children in a world that often pushes against traditional family life
– Why connection, presence, and faith matter more than perfection
- AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: pick your priorities for your family according to the will of God and not the will of man.

After 35 years of raising and homeschooling children, I can tell you this:
You don’t need a perfect home, a perfect schedule, or a perfect system.

What your children need most is you—present, steady, and rooted in the Lord.

Here on our homestead, life isn’t polished or picture-perfect. It’s real, sometimes messy, often busy… but it’s full of purpose. As I work through the pantry and share a bit of our everyday life, I hope this feels like sitting down with a neighbor for a simple, honest conversation.

If you are choosing to raise your children differently than the world encourages, you are not alone.

May this encourage your heart and strengthen your walk.

We love you all, and we are so thankful you’re here.

Until next time, may the Lord Jesus bless you richly.
Liyah
