2 PETER 2 | BIBLE STUDY WITH ME | Kaci Nicole
Today we’re continuing our Bible Study With Me series through 1 & 2 Peter by diving into 2 Peter—a powerful letter written by the apostle Peter near the end of his life. Church tradition tells us Peter was executed in Rome under Emperor Nero, and this letter serves as his farewell message to the churches he loved. In it, he warns against corrupt leaders twisting the truth and calls believers back to confidence in God’s promises and holy living. The central theme? God loves His world and is determined to rescue it. But His love must also confront and deal with the sin and evil that ruin His creation. In 2 Peter, we’re reminded that God’s plan for His people isn’t comfort or ease—it’s transformation into the likeness of Christ.
In this video, we’ll walk through 2 Peter 1, where Peter calls us to: confirm our calling and election through growth in faith and virtue, pay careful attention to God’s Word as a lamp in the darkness, and remember that true knowledge of God leads to grace, peace, and fruitfulness. This is a letter about urgency, diligence, and eternal hope. As always, comment your favorite verse or takeaway below. 💭
