in this video, I’m sharing why my husband and I chose reverse osmosis water, what options are available for purifying your water at home or while traveling, and how to choose the best system for your needs and budget.
Water is essential for life — and Scripture uses water to symbolize cleansing, renewal, and salvation. But our modern water sources often contain things we don’t want in our bodies: microplastics, chlorine, fluoride, forever chemicals (PFOA/PFOS), heavy metals, sediment, odors, and contaminants from aging pipes and environmental runoff.
This is why understanding your water purification options is such an important part of stewarding your health.
In this video, I walk through the exact water filtration systems we personally use:
1. Refrigerator Water Filter
Most refrigerators come with built-in filters — but not all replacement filters are effective. I share the specific upgraded filters we use to remove impurities more thoroughly and why this is the simplest place to start.
2. The Chubby Pitcher (Portable Water Filter)
This pitcher was our first purification system and the one we still travel with on road trips. It removes chemicals, heavy metals, and common contaminants while giving clean-tasting water anywhere you go. If you need a starter option or a travel solution, this pitcher is a great choice.
3. Under-Counter Reverse Osmosis System
This is our everyday water source at home. Reverse osmosis removes:
chlorine and fluoride
heavy metals
arsenic and lead
forever chemicals
microplastics
high levels of total dissolved solids
This system gives us consistently clean, simple, pure water straight from the tap — great for drinking, cooking, washing produce, and caring for our overall wellness.
4. Reverse Osmosis Hot + Cold Dispenser
This is the newest addition we’re using for retreats and events. It provides instant hot or cold purified water with adjustable temperatures, cup sizes, and child safety locks. It’s ideal for tea, coffee, cooking, or refreshing cold drinks — all without relying on bottled water.
Each of these systems meets a different need. There’s no one-size-fits-all option, but the right purifier for your home depends on your lifestyle, your family, and your budget. And yes — using purification systems saves money over bottled water while eliminating tons of microplastics.
