Give Yourself to the Adventure: A Jubilee Address to Irish Pilgrims

Friends, the new atheists, some twenty years ago, told an entire generation of young people that there is no objective value, no purpose, no meaning, no God; that we come from nothing and return to nothing.

But the Bible tells an entirely different story. It speaks of a God who summons us out of ourselves to spiritual adventure, who directs our freedom toward its proper goal, and who gives us meaning and sends us on mission.

During the 2025 Jubilee of Youth in Rome, I shared several biblical examples of this divine summons with six hundred young men and women from Ireland.
