Food is personal and often emotional, but it doesn’t need to be a battlefield. We’re not here to debate, shame, or stir up arguments. We’re here to step back, breathe, and look at your questions about the carnivore diet through physiology, biblical wisdom, and common sense.
Throughout Scripture—from Genesis to Revelation—God provides His people with a diverse table: plants, fruits, grains, oils, herbs, spices, and clean meats. Nowhere does the Bible present a one-food-group survival plan. So if we’re asking “Is the carnivore diet healthy?” we have to start with God’s original design.
We address four major questions sent in by viewers:
Do we need fiber?
Why does blood work often look better on carnivore?
Why do some people experience reflux or painful symptoms?
Should people with neurological issues start with the carnivore diet?
Yes, some people feel better short term. Yes, removing processed foods improves markers. But that doesn’t rewrite long-term design. The microbiome, brain health, hormones, inflammation, digestion, and the gut-brain axis all depend on nutrients that come from plant foods. Fiber may not be required to survive—but it is required to thrive. And short-term lab results don’t always show the long-term picture.
For some individuals, carnivore can be a helpful temporary reset. But long-term? God designed us for diversity, not extremes. Healing comes when we align with His creation: fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, herbs, seeds, nuts, grains, and meats working together.
If you’re doing the carnivore diet now, digestive enzymes (especially protease) may help your body handle such a one-sided intake. Listen to your body. Take everything to the Lord. And remember—health is about wisdom, stewardship, balance, and long-term alignment with God’s design.
