1. Is the Daniel Plan fast, sustainable over a long period of time?

By all means, yes. In the first chapters of Daniel, he and his friends ate this way for three years. That was the time of testing. They wanted to hold dear to their beliefs and not be caught up in all of the indoctrination from Babylon that was being forced upon them. With each meal, it became a reminder, and it kept him and his friends focused on the one true God. And that's what we get to do today as well. Each meal is a reminder. So this is similar to a Mediterranean diet only without the fish in the lamb. This is a very plant based diet, it's very helpful, we obtain high level antioxidants polyphenols in the foods such as vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

2. Does diabetes exist in biblical times, or is this a modern disease? I would like to learn the biblical ways of eating healthy and hopefully treat my diabetes.

The first known mention of diabetes symptoms was actually in 1552 BC, when an Egyptian Physician He documented on papyrus that about frequent urination as a symptom of a mysterious disease. So that's the first mention. And then also around the same time there was another ancient healer who noted that ants seem to be attracted to the urine of people who had this issue.

So to refer to your question about eating biblically, the disease of diabetes is always advanced. And it's complicated with the eating of processed or high sugar foods. The foods that God created for us along with the three principles that we teach from, they're never going to contribute or exacerbate the condition of diabetes, that's not going to be your main focus.

3. Can you help me live a healthy, nutritious life with God's Word through biblical nutrition Academy?
