Today is all about a very important vegetable - if you have men in your life because they need to know what I've got to teach you. Also, if you want to avoid cancer, if you want to stay young, this vegetable is for you. It's so warm and creamy, you're going to love it.

Let’s talk about acorn squash and other types of squash such as butternut squash and spaghetti squash. These vegetables are so delicious, and they're perfect in the fall and the winter for us to enjoy. Because they store well in your home so you could stock up on them. These are also great prepper foods.

These squash, specifically the acorn and the butternut helped to reduce the swelling in the prostate. This is so important for men as they age, they have this issue and we can actually help use these squash to help reduce that inflammation. As I've been teaching you about the other vegetables throughout this entire nice produce stand here at Tom Leonard, they're all going to give you the vitamin C.

Yet when you have the orange flesh like we do in the acorn and the butternut squash, you're going to get a higher dose of beta carotene, another level of protection for your body. Now, here's the thing I really want you to catch when we eat vegetables like this, which I'm going to take you to my kitchen and show you how to roast these up in such a delicious way. But as we eat these vegetables, you actually have a decreased amount of pain and inflammation.

Now these vegetables are going to give you a good dose of vitamin A, they're going to give you carbohydrates that can give you energy, they're not going to be carbohydrates that get a bad label by some people who are out there. They're also going to help with your immune system. Now, here's what I also want you to pay attention to. These vegetables are really good to help heal and prevent problems in your digestive tract. They're going to help prevent any type of bacterial overgrowth, such as in the bad bacteria. And for people who have respiratory issues, these would be vegetables that you want to pay attention to. So think about all of these reasons that I just listed for you to enjoy some acorn squash today.

I hope I've inspired you to add squash into your family's diet such a warm comfort food, especially in the winter months. Now remember, even though we are cooking these we might lose some of the vitamin C. Some of the vitamin C is more bioavailable, but it's still less but we also increase the bioavailability of the current carotene which is I was gonna say carotenoids and that makes it so we can build our immune system. The antioxidants are still available. So don't negate cooking your vegetables if you just need something warm and comforting. These foods will satisfy. Thank you for letting me serve you God's recipe for excellent health. I'm here to teach you how to be confident in the kitchen, confident in your help, and most importantly confident and understanding how much God loves you with an everlasting love.
