Elders — Part One

Browse through any book on leadership, and you’re likely to read that good leaders are marked by giftedness, personality, and organizational skills. But when Paul urged Titus to appoint elders in the church at Crete, he provided a very different list of qualifications. In this study from Titus 1, Alistair Begg walks us through Paul’s recommendations, noting that since elders shepherd the church by teaching and guarding the truth, they should first demonstrate godly leadership in their own households.<br />
