1. How do I deal with birthdays and the coming holidays? It is hard for me to say no, even though I don't like cake at all, I still say yes because I don't want to offend people. Any advice on that? - Lucy
When we are more concerned with other people then our health will always be a struggle.
Two things I do know - you get to choose how to feed your body.
No one is forcing food.
This is a comment that comes up in the Inner Circle - there we get to talk through the situation, the people involved, and what options are available.
It always comes down to what matters to you.
If you are struggling with this decision - then you haven’t decided yet you want to be free from health problems.
Once you make that decision - there will be no more struggles with food or people. Plus if you have taken the 40 day transformation course then you have all the tools for every situation.
2. I had enjoyed intermittent fasting, until I heard on the internet that fasting can disrupt female hormones and harm fertility. I stopped because I am trying to conceive. Life is a blessing and from the moment of your birth you were creating a body for reproducing. Every food decision and avoidance of food - changes the microbiome.
A healthy microbiome brings a healthy baby into this world.
Fasting a minimum of 12-14 hours per day should not interfere with fertility.
When you do eat- are you eating foods that bring health to the body. I would focus on eating only foods God created and man has not altered.
This means healthy fats - avocados, coconut, organic dairy, and you can have wild caught fish. I have made videos on fish like mahi mahi which is very low in mercury.
Avoid chemicals in all areas of your life - cleaners, body products, air fresheners and even vaccines.
Make sure both you and your husband are eating as much organic as possible. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits.
Your husband should be taking a zinc supplement and vitamin d
It is best for you to be taking a very good multi - I will link two options below. A B complex especially if your multi does not have a high amount of b in it
And also good protein.
This is minimum but a very good foundation
Then hormones need good sleep.
3. I need clarification. When we speak of the Daniel Fast here, are we speaking of using it as a lifestyle or just for a period of fasting? - Francesca
The answer is both.
It can be for a short period of time such as ten days or 21 days, and it is a very healthy eating pattern to enjoy the entire life.
No matter how long you do the Daniel Fast - your body and specifically the microbiome bacteria will love you for it.
