YOUR Promise Is Still ALIVE…Even When God Says Give It Back

Have you ever received something from God — a promise, a relationship, a dream, a ministry — and then felt Him asking you to release it? If that is where you are today, this message was prepared for you.

God promised Abraham a son for decades. And when Isaac finally came, God kept His word at exactly the right time. Then — some time later — God called Abraham to the mountain.

"When they arrived at the place where God had told him to go, Abraham built an altar and arranged the wood on it. Then he tied his son, Isaac, and laid him on the altar on top of the wood." — Genesis 22:9 (NLT)

Let these words resonate within your heart today. Abraham did not lay Isaac on the altar in despair. He told his servants "We will worship there, and then we will come right back." WE — not just I. He walked up the mountain expecting to come back down with his son. Take comfort in this — his surrender was not the end of the promise. It was the proof of his faith in the Promise-Maker.

"Then Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. So he took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering in place of his son. Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh — which means 'the LORD will provide.'" — Genesis 22:13-14 (NLT)

Understand this — Yahweh-Yireh was not revealed on the way up the mountain. It was revealed at the exact moment of complete surrender. The ram was already in the thicket before Abraham raised the knife. God's provision was already in place before the surrender was complete. YOUR promise is still alive. The provision is already in the thicket.
