YOUR Faith Can Be REAL Even While DOUBT Is Talking

Nobody told YOU that. YOU were taught it was one or the other — that if YOU were really full of faith, the questions would be gone, the fear would be silent, the wondering would stop. So now, on the days doubt gets loud, YOU assume YOUR faith must have failed. YOU feel like a hypocrite for praying with YOUR mouth while YOUR mind is asking, "but what if it doesn't happen?"

The passages behind this message take that shame apart completely. They show YOU a man who had the clearest revelation of who Jesus was that anyone in his generation received — who publicly, boldly, with total certainty, pointed Him out and announced exactly who He was in front of everyone.

And then, later, from a hard and lonely place, that same man sent a question that sounds nothing like the bold declaration he made before.

Here is what most people miss. When his doubt-filled question reached Jesus, Jesus did not rebuke him. He did not call him faithless. He did not revoke a single thing. Instead He sent back a specific answer — and then, in almost the same breath, He said something about this doubting man so staggering that it should end the shame of every believer who has ever wrestled with a question.

And he is not the only one. Scripture is full of real faith with doubt still talking. There is a desperate father who said, in a single breath, "I believe — help my unbelief," and his son was still delivered. There is a man who walked on top of the water and then, eyes on the storm, began to sink — and was caught by a hand that was always within reach. There is even a mighty warrior, famous for his faith, who on one dark day told himself he was going to die at the hand of his enemy after all. Great faith. Real doubt. Same person.

Because doubt talking is not proof YOUR faith is fake. It is proof YOU are human
