Have you ever been in a season of famine? Where everything was shut up, dried up, and the door of provision felt permanently closed? I want you to stop right now and receive this truth — because the city of Samaria was in exactly that place. And overnight — everything changed.
The city was under siege. The famine was so severe that food had become unaffordable. The king had lost hope. And outside the gate sat four lepers who said to one another —
"Why should we sit here waiting to die? We will go to the Aramean camp. If they kill us, we will only die; but if they let us live, we will live." — 2 Kings 7:3-4 (NLT)
Let these words resonate within your heart today. Four outcasts. Zero resources. No army. No strategy. Just a decision to move toward what looked impossible. And when they arrived at the edge of the enemy's camp — it was completely empty. Take comfort in this — God had already moved before the lepers took one step. The Syrian army had already fled in the night. The tents, the food, the horses, the silver and gold — all of it was already waiting. The breakthrough existed before anyone in the city could see it.
"For the Lord had caused the Aramean army to hear the clatter of speeding chariots and the galloping of horses and the sounds of a great army. The Lord had caused them to hear the clatter of a vast army coming against them, so they had fled in panic." — 2 Kings 7:6 (NLT)
Understand this — God moved in the night. While the city slept in famine, God was routing the enemy. While the king despaired, God had already prepared the table. YOUR breakthrough is not coming — it is already HERE. It is already prepared. The enemy has already been routed. You just have not arrived at the camp yet to see what God has already done on your behalf.
