You can't earn salvation.

You don't earn salvation by being a good person. You don't receive God's grace because you've done enough good things.

That's why the Gospel is such good news! Jesus didn't wait for us to clean ourselves up. He stepped into our brokenness, carried what we couldn't carry, and made a way for us to experience forgiveness, freedom, and new life.
