Wishing This Season Away? A Prayer for Accepting Where You Are
Your Daily Prayer
Are you living through a season you keep wishing would end?
Maybe you're getting older and struggling with the changes.

Maybe someone you love is gone.
Maybe your health, family, career, or circumstances don't look the way you thought they would.
Maybe you keep thinking:
“I just need to get through this part.”
Tonight’s Your Nightly Prayer is an invitation to stop rushing past the life you're actually living.
Tonight’s Scripture
“He has made everything beautiful in its time...” — Ecclesiastes 3:11
Receiving the season you're in does not mean pretending everything about it is good.
You can grieve what you've lost.
You can admit you're disappointed.
You can ask God for change.
And you can still ask:
“Lord, how are You meeting me here?”
Candice reflects on entering her fifties and discovering that aging carries both loss and unexpected gifts.
There are aches.
People she misses.
Changes she didn't ask for.
But there is also wisdom.
Resilience.
Perspective.
And a deeper knowledge of God's faithfulness built through years of walking with Him.
Sometimes beauty grows in surprising places.
Flowers emerge from scorched ground.
New life appears where everything looked barren.
And while we may not understand why every painful season happens, we can trust that pain does not place us beyond God's presence or His ability to redeem.
Maybe tonight you don't need to love this season.
Maybe you simply need grace to stop fighting the fact that you're here.
🙏 What part of your current season have you been wishing away?
Pray:
“Father, help me receive what You have for me here.”
