Why You must cut off what "looks" alive (The painful truth about purning)
"He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." — John 15:2
In today’s episode of Living Purified, I’m sharing a deeply personal lesson I learned from a wax-dipped Peru Amaryllis bulb I picked up at a women's conference a month ago.
As someone who isn't a traditional flower or gardening person, watching this plant grow in its second bloom revealed a sobering spiritual truth: Sometimes, we sabotage our own growth by holding onto things that LOOK alive on the surface, but are DEAD at the root.
We tie up dead relationships, outdated seasons, and deceptive habits with excuses, hoping they will bloom—all while stifling the thriving, fruitful version of who God is calling us to be.
If you are currently in a season where God is asking you to prune, let go, or cut off what no longer serves your spiritual walk, this message is for you. Pruning requires pain, but it is the only pathway to your next bloom.
