Who is God? Pt 3 Moments that Matter, Christian Questions
In a couple of recent podcasts, parts 1 and 2 of this series we tracked how the Old Testament unfolded God’s identity. From the beginning the creator of heaven and earth was the God of power and authority. He created man in His image and became known as the God of relationship. Fast forward and Abraham became a friend of God. Fast forward again and Israel was delivered from slavery by God the Lord of Hosts! As time went on, the understanding of God increased.
The New Testament begins, and Jesus comes as the Messiah. This development was THE single most significant step forward in all of God’s plan. Jesus cancelled sin and ransomed humanity through his sacrifice. This world changing step brought a world changing view of God. And it all came down to one simple common word that had been used throughout every generation of humanity’s history. Father.
