Where Is Your Time Actually Going? | A Prayer for Using Time Wisely
Your Daily Prayer
Where did the time go?
It's a question most of us have asked after another day seems to disappear.
Five minutes becomes ten.
Ten becomes twenty.
Small choices become habits.
And eventually those habits begin shaping our lives.
In today's Your Daily Prayer, Tammy Darling reflects on Paul's words in Ephesians 5:15-16:
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity…”
But making your minutes matter doesn't mean turning every moment into work.
Tammy learned that herself.
Rest matters.
Prayer matters.
Your marriage matters.
Listening to your children matters.
Time with God matters.
Sometimes even taking a guilt-free nap can be a wise use of time.
The question isn't simply:
“How much did I accomplish today?”
A better question may be:
“Did I give my time to what mattered?”
Biblical stewardship of time isn't about obsessively counting every minute. It's about learning to live attentively, wisely, and obediently before God.
Today, consider where your minutes have been going.
What has been receiving too much of your time?
What—or who—hasn't been receiving enough?
And where might God be inviting you to become more intentional?
🙏 Today's Prayer:
“Father, thank You for the time You've given me. Give me wisdom to know when to work, when to rest, when to listen, when to act, and how to use my days for Your glory.”
