Your finances.
Your health.
A relationship.
A decision.
A future you can't predict.
Sometimes we call it planning.
Sometimes we call it being responsible.
But underneath it, we may be gripping for control because we're terrified of what will happen if we let go.
Tonight's Your Nightly Prayer is an invitation to loosen your grip.
Tonight's Scripture
“‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” — Zechariah 4:6
Zerubbabel faced an overwhelming assignment.
The Israelites had returned after decades of exile to find the temple in ruins. The work ahead looked enormous, and their resources were limited.
God's answer wasn't simply:
Try harder.
Instead, He reminded Zerubbabel where the real power would come from.
His Spirit.
Maybe you need that reminder tonight too.
Surrender doesn't mean doing nothing.
It means recognizing the difference between your responsibility and God's authority.
You can take the next faithful step without carrying responsibility for every outcome.
You can make the phone call.
Have the conversation.
Create the budget.
Go to the appointment.
Ask for help.
And then release what you cannot control.
Psalm 46:10 tells us:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Tonight, you don't have to solve the entire situation before you sleep.
Ask God:
What belongs in my hands—and what am I trying to keep in my hands that belongs in Yours?
🙏 Pray:
“Holy Spirit, show me my next step and give me courage to release the rest.”
