“There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God...” — Hebrews 4:9-11
We live in a culture that keeps telling us there is always something more to do—one more notification, one more task, one more improvement, one more way to be a better parent, spouse, employee, friend, or Christian.
But God never designed us to live at maximum speed all the time.
Rest is not a reward for finally finishing everything. It is part of the rhythm God created for us.
Tonight, ask yourself:
What am I telling myself I have to finish before I can rest?
Maybe the holiest thing you can do is stop.
Put the phone down. Leave something unfinished. Sit with God. Enjoy the people He has given you. Receive the moment instead of trying to optimize it.

“Lord, teach me Your rhythm of rest.”
