When Israel was wandering in the wilderness, God instructed them to build the Tabernacle as their portable place of worship where God’s presence and favor would be evident. Through the priesthood Israel offered many sacrifices to God such as sin offerings, burnt offerings, peace offerings. Why? What was the point of all these rituals?<br />

In a recent podcast we observed The Day of Atonement sin offerings as the basis for ALL other sacrifices as their purpose was to satisfy justice and to cover the people’s sins. These offerings were annual and without them, no other offerings could be acceptable to God. This basis is the first piece to our puzzle.<br />
