Many of Jesus’ words were mysterious. He spoke in parables and much of what he said was simply not easy to understand. Because of this, many of his statements fall into the category of “assumed meaning”.
In a recent podcast we observed Jesus’ teaching about the broad road to destruction in Matthew 7, falling into this category. This chapter contains several short teachings as part of the Sermon on the Mount which Jesus taught to his disciples, as great crowds listened in.

Jesus taught his followers about a broad road and a narrow road. They are of the few who have access to this narrow road to life. All others get the road to destruction. So, where did that road begin and where does it lead?
