What is God's will, and how do I make it my own? Christian Questions, Moments that Matter

How do we find God’s will for us? Let’s start with basics. God will NOT whisper into your ear or send an e-mail, text, post or instant message. Why? These things would be counterproductive, as finding His will for us means we need to be looking for it. Where else would we look than the Bible, His holy word? <br />

In a recent podcast we observed two broad biblical categories of what doing God’s will looks like. First, things NOT to do. 1 Thess. 4:3 says doing the will of God means abstaining from all immoral behavior. Other scriptures give specifics on the many kinds of thoughts and behaviors we need to avoid.<br />

Second, is things that we should do, like rejoicing, praying, being thankful and doing good. <br />
