What God Is Sending May EXCEED What YOU PREPARED For

You have been asking God for more, but a part of YOU has quietly prepared for the same.

YOU pray for the breakthrough, YOU hope for the increase — but underneath, YOU have braced yourself for another empty season, because that is what YOU have come to expect. And that gap — between what YOU are asking for and what YOU have actually prepared to receive — is the exact thing this passage exposes.

Luke 5 was written for the person standing in that gap.

Someone had worked all night and had nothing to show for it. Exhausted, discouraged, already cleaning up and shutting it down — the season was over, and everything about that night said try again another time. And it was right there, at the end of his effort and the bottom of his expectation, that he was given an instruction that made no natural sense to a man who did the exact thing for a living.

Here is what most people miss.

He obeyed — but watch how he obeyed. He was told to prepare for a certain amount, and he prepared for less. His words even said it out loud: he expected almost nothing. He did the thing he was told, but he braced for a small result, because everything in his experience said there was nothing out there to catch. And that single detail — the gap between what he was told to ready and what he actually readied — is the heart of this entire message.

Because what came was not small.

What God sent so far exceeded what he had prepared for that something meant to hold it could not hold it. It began to give way under the weight of the very blessing he had prayed for. He suddenly needed help he never planned on needing, and even that was not enough — because the more that came, the more it exposed how unprepared he was for the size of what God was doing.
