What Does It Mean to Be Baptized Into Christ’s Death?
Baptism plays a vital and sacred role in the lives of Christians. John the Baptist introduced baptism into the New Testament as a symbol of repentance, in preparation for Jesus coming on the scene. Jesus then took that symbol and amplified it to include the sacrificial aspects of following him as a disciple. Throughout the New Testament, the concept of baptism is described in several ways.
