What does it mean that your sorrow will turn to joy in John 16:20? | GotQuestions.org
Believing time heals all wounds masks a much deeper spiritual reality. Jesus’ promise in John 16:20 forces believers to reevaluate earthly suffering. When facing crushing despair, we often struggle to trust that the weeping David describes in Psalm 30:5 will actually turn to joy. Relying on the Holy Spirit reframes our temporary afflictions, anchoring our hearts in the eternal weight of glory mentioned in 2 Corinthians 4:17. Viewing today's harsh trials through the lens of Romans 8:28 and Christ’s resurrection prepares us to endure without losing faith.
