What does God's grace do for us? Moments that Matter, Christian Questions
God’s grace is His unmerited favor. Here’s a simple human example: You decide that you’ll buy a friend two tickets to a game of their favorite sports team. You’re not returning some favor, but simply giving them something they’d love. You give them the tickets and they’re stunned in joy and surprise.
In a recent podcast we observed this as a tiny example compared to the magnitude of God’s grace. God gave us Jesus as an expression of His grace. All of humanity was ransomed from death and given an opportunity for eternal life. That’s a massive gift! So, is our reaction to it as joyful as receiving tickets to a game?

What if your friend with the tickets never went to the game and instead just loved the fact that they had them? They missed the point! You wanted them to be there and not just appreciate the opportunity. It is the same with God’s grace, only bigger. He wants us to live that opportunity for life, and not just appreciate it! God’s grace always seeks an active response!
